“Scooter” is a founding member of the Pondfeilders and an assistant manager. He is a former Bristol (RI) player who along with Captain Jim Regan brought vintage base ball to his home town of Melrose. Dave is a sure handed rifle armed ballist in the field and a difficult out as a striker. When there are “ducks on the pond” for the Melrose side, you’ll often find Scooter amongst them. He sets a high example that rest of the Pondfeilders follow. His nickname is due to his excessive speed on the basepaths. Dave’s brother Brian plays for the Pondfeilders as well, they are one of three brother combinations on the team.
