Shortstop

“Birdy” has been playing vintage base ball for over four years now. He started playing for the Bristol (RI) Blues and later became an original member of the Pondfeilders. Brian is an all around ballist who is equally adept in the field and at the bat. He is often the leadoff striker in the Melrose batting order and when he’s on base he causes havoc for the battery. It is surely an indication of his fine play that he has started almost every Pondfeilders game at shortstop in the team’s two year history. Birdy, a Melrose resident originally from Delaware, also serves as an assistant manager for the team and is known to lead from example.
